WINE & BEER LABELS

While traditional and conservative wine label design has its rightful place, the boundaries of this genre have exploded into new visual directions. This freedom has fermented (wink wink) really fun opportunities to tell a story through interesting labels. In a study by wine.net, 82 percent of instances, the survey respondents admitted that they made their selections based on the appearance of the labels. That’s hard information to ignore when the goal is to sell the product.

Posters are meant to attract your attention first and foremost. They are a fantastic way to communicate your message in a simple and bold manner. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry put it best when he said, “A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” I love that concept.
